It’s called a break up because it’s broken

breakupbrokenThrough my research, interviews, and discussions with women, I have come to find that a large percentage circle back to a broken relationship. I don’t want to turn this posting into a confused, bitter diatribe on relationship conflicts, but come on!!! Okay… breathe, Charles.

A friend has been calling for the past two weeks to discuss ENDLESS problems with her boyfriend (of six months). He treats her like garbage. “How,” you ask? Well, let’s see… passive aggression, lies, breaking up (just to get back together), not returning calls. Then, the capper. He calls and tells her it’s OVER (He’s lying, of course, as he is never really available for her to pick up her things.).

Then… tonight. They FINALLY connect to exchange belongings, and… “to get him back,” she SLEEPS with him? I questioned her repeatedly as to why (why… WHY!?!?) she slept with HIM? Anyone else, fine… I mean, whatever… go get your needs filled. But why succumb your own physical needs and provide pleasure to a man that treated you like crap? WTF are you thinking!?!?

I have spoken with many women with this same mentality… that treat break-ups as a last-ditch effort to “convince him” that he’s making a mistake. Sometimes they stay broken up, and sometimes they reconcile… but inevitably it always results in  final separation. After all, most things end badly, otherwise they wouldn’t end.

For those women reading, I implore you to not submit to these cavemen. You are worth more. Sheesh… PLEASE have more respect for yourselves than these soon-to-be-Ex’s gave you.
