Nearly 13,000 men and women were interviewed over a 26 year period, and were asked a variety of questions about their views on gender and roles, both at home and in the workplace. Among the questions: Should women stay home and cook and clean? Does marrying a working woman result in juvenile delinquency? Should men should be the sole breadwinners? The results were interesting, if not completely backward. Men who answered in sexist ways were deemed “traditional” by employers, and were viewed as more shrewd negotiators.
